We currently offer our 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM services in-person each weekend! You’ll find these services are a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Through the use of preaching, worship, and creativity, we strive to present the timeless message of Jesus Christ in a clear and fresh way.
You can also catch our services online at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM.
Kids are important to us, so we’ve created a place for them to learn about Jesus on their level. Every Sunday all children (babies through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
Sean & Tara Jazdzyk
In 2001, Sean and Tara Jazdzyk married and today they enjoy a wonderful family life with their two sons, Caden and Carson. Their prayer has always been that they would raise their two men of God upon the foundation of Christ that they have celebrated in their marriage.
Sean and Tara have very different stories in their Christian heritage. Sean is a first-generation Christian and minister, whereas, Tara is a seventh-generation Christian and a third-generation minister. Their different backgrounds have united them with a deep desire to continue seeking new things and innovative change for the community, yet at the same time, still recognize and honor the tradition of faith served by the generations before us all.
With this unique mix of family backgrounds and the incredible experience of serving on the staff of a fast-growing church like Element, the call to start a new, life-giving church has been birthed in Sean and Tara’s heart… a church called, Thrive Chapel.
Over the past four and a half years, Sean and Tara have had the distinct privilege to serve as the Executive Pastor for Pastor Erik Lawson and the congregation of Element Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Element Church began in 2006, and due to the blessing of God and the great vision of Pastor Erik, it now reaches more than 3,000 people weekly. In three of the last four years, Element Church has been recognized in Outreach Magazine as one of the top-100 fastest growing churches in America.
It has been an absolute honor for Sean and Tara to personally witness their pastors lead and build a church with integrity. The shepherding Pastor Erik and Christy provide has yielded life-long gratefulness for their sacrifices and for the spiritual accountability they give this ministry.
Nate and his wife, Bayda, visited Thrive Chapel in early 2017 as he prayed to be able to fully use his own gifts music and leadership. This is where his calling fell in place. He’s thrilled to have the opportunity to invest in people’s hearts and natural talent! He comes from a musical family of seven children and has been leading worship for nine years.
Valerie and her family visited Thrive Chapel during the summer of 2019 and instantly knew it was their new church home. They recently moved from Texas for new opportunities to the peachy state of Georgia. Valerie has a passion for people and connecting with new and old faces. During her free time she loves the outdoors, fellowshipping, and Mexican food with a good patio!
Erin and her family moved to Georgia in 2019 from Mississippi. Shortly after getting settled in Woodstock, a co-worker invited them to try out Thrive Chapel. She knew after her first visit that this was going to be her church home. She served on our Hospitality team before accepting her role as Thrive Kids Coordinator. When she is not sharing the love of Jesus with our Thrive Kids she enjoys attending her kids sporting events, being at the pool, beach,or lake, eating out and Ole Miss Baseball and Football!
Kira and her family have attended Thrive chapel since its grand opening. From the start she was able to find her next step, and began serving on the greeting team. As her passion for the church grew, so did her role in volunteering. Currently, she serves as the Worship Coordinator, overseeing the Production and Worship Team’s administration. She is also a part of the planning committee for “Flourish”, our women’s ministry at Thrive. Looking for a place to serve? She can put you to work! In her down time she loves spending time with her husband and four kids.
David & Mary Bemis
After 45 years of pastoring, we decided to move to Marietta to be near our grandchildren. We went online to look for churches that we might attend and saw the information about Thrive Chapel starting up and the need for people to volunteer in various areas of ministry. We met with Pastor Sean and immediately connected with his heart and vision for the church and community. We really liked the purpose of the church that states that we exist to help people take their next step with God. We love the relationships that we have built and leading our life group “JOY”; Just Older Youth! We also love walking, spending time with our family and playing games, especially with our grandchildren.
Erick & Natalie Ward
Natalie and her Husband Erick attended Thrive Chapel on opening day in 2014. They took the 3 visit challenge and knew before 3 visits Thrive Chapel would be their church home. Natalie began serving in kids, then kids check in, but desired more interaction with the church and the visitors as a whole, since December 2016 she has been serving as the Guest Services Coordinator. Erick began serving on the load in crew, transitioned to parking team, and serves as an usher as well. They both have a love for Jesus and hope to deepen their personal walk with HIM while serving others and helping them to do the same. The Wards are a family of 4 as of April 25th. They have a daughter Ryan 3 years, and son Brock.
